Jakarta – Public Relations: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Sunarto, S.H., M.H., attended the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the Fifth Session of the 2025–2026 Legislative Year. The session was held in the Plenary Meeting Room, Nusantara Building of the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Complex, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/5).

The plenary session was scheduled to discuss the presentation of the Macroeconomic Framework (KEM) and the Main Points of Fiscal Policy (PPKF) for the Draft State Budget (RAPBN) for Fiscal Year 2027.

In his remarks, delivered in conjunction with National Awakening Day, the President of the Republic of Indonesia outlined the framework of national economic and fiscal policy as an introductory basis for the preparation of the 2027 State Budget Draft.

The President emphasized that the state budget should not merely be viewed as a state financial document, but rather as an instrument in the nation’s development and struggle.

“The State Budget is a manifestation of our instrument of struggle as a nation. The State Budget is a tool to protect the people, strengthen the foundations and pillars of the national economy, ensure greater prosperity for every citizen, and serve as a guide for our journey ahead.

With this awareness, we prepare the State Budget as a collective commitment to realizing the noble aspirations mandated by our Constitution, the 1945 Constitution,” the President stated. (sk/ds/photo: DPR RI/ translation:azh)
