SUPREME COURT COMMEMORATES THE 118TH NATIONAL AWAKENING DAY
Jakarta – Public Relations: The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia officially commemorated the 118th National Awakening Day at the Supreme Court Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (20/5).
This year’s National Awakening Day commemoration carried the theme “Protecting the Nation’s Future Generation in Support of National Sovereignty.” The theme reflects the importance of preparing the younger generation as the main foundation in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The commemoration ceremony was led by the Vice Chief Justice for Non-Judicial Affairs, Dr. Dwiarso Budi Santiarto, S.H., M.Hum.
The event was attended by all Chiefs of Chamber, Supreme Court Justices, and Ad Hoc Justices.
In addition, the ceremony was also attended by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, the Secretary of the Supreme Court, Echelon I–IV officials, judges under the Supreme Court, and functional officials. The main board members of Dharmayukti Karini of the Supreme Court were also present at the commemoration.
The ceremony began with the raising of the Red and White flag accompanied by the national anthem Indonesia Raya. The event then continued with the recitation of the Pancasila text by the Ceremony Inspector, followed simultaneously by all ceremony participants.
The ceremony proceeded with the reading of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The event concluded with the singing of the national songs Bagimu Negeri and Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa, followed by a prayer recital. (sk/ds/Photo: alf, end, bly/Translation: azh)
