SECRETARY OF THE SUPREME COURT EMPHASIZES INTEGRITY AND TRACK RECORD IN JPT SELECTION

Jakarta – Public Relations: Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia was officially opened Field Competency Selection (SKB) stage for the recruitment of Middle and Primary High Leadership Positions (JPT) for Fiscal Year 2026. The opening ceremony was led by Secretary of Supreme Court Sugiyanto,  S.H., M.H. on Tuesday (28/4) in Jakarta.

In his remarks, Sugiyanto emphasized that this selection process is a crucial step in ensuring the quality of leadership within the judiciary. He stressed that the appointment of officials is not based solely on formal qualifications

“Appointments to High Leadership Positions are not based solely on administrative considerations, but also on competence, qualifications, integrity, and performance track records,” stated Sugiyanto.

This stage of the Field Competency Selection (SKB) is focused on three main components, namely paper writing, presentations, and interviews.

The Secretary of the Supreme Court reminded participants to give their best performance, as this stage has the most significant influence on their chances of passing.

“I need to convey that this Field Competency Selection carries the largest weighting in the assessment, namely 35% compared to other selection stages,” said Sugiyanto.

Besides, the Supreme Court also conducts competency assessments for Primary High Leadership Officials (JPT Pratama) from Echelon II.b to Echelon II.a as part of the civil service career development system within the Supreme Court.

The selection process, which is scheduled to run until May 1, 2026, involves examiners from both internal and external elements of the Supreme Court. Through a series of rigorous assessments, the Supreme Court hopes to identify individuals capable of supporting judicial transformation in Indonesia. Sugiyanto expressed hope that this initiative would produce prospective leaders with a clear vision and strong commitment.

“Through this Field Competency Selection, it is hoped that prospective leaders will be identified who not only possess strong technical capabilities, but also demonstrate strong leadership, a clear vision, and a commitment to realizing a modern, transparent, and accountable judiciary,” he stated.

This selection process will ultimately narrow down to the determination of the top three candidates for each position applied for, based on the accumulation of objective and accountable assessment results.

The selection participants consist of 4 candidates for Head of the Supervisory Agency, 3 candidates for Regional Inspector II of the Supervisory Agency, 3 candidates for Regional Inspector IV of the Supervisory Agency, 7 candidates for Director of Guidance for Technical Personnel and Administrative Affairs of the State Administrative Courts, 5 candidates for Head of the Judicial Technical Education and Training Center under the Agency for Policy Strategy and Legal and Judicial Education and Training, and 11 candidates for Head of the Bureau of Legal and Public Relations of the Administrative Affairs Agency of the Supreme Court.
