Bogor – Public Relations: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Sunarto, S.H., M.H., attended the 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration Ceremony held at Nagara Janottama Field, the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Training Center, Indonesian National Police Headquarters, Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (1/07/2026).

The ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Bhayangkara Corps was presided over by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who served as the Inspector of the Ceremony. This year’s commemoration carried the theme, “The Indonesian National Police for the People,” reflecting the Police’s commitment to strengthening public services and protecting the community.

In his remarks, President Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to law enforcement in Indonesia. He emphasized that the law must provide security and protection for the people.

The President further stressed that the law must never be used merely as a political instrument or to serve vested interests.

“There must be no criminalization. There must be no abuse of authority, and no one should be above the law,” he stated.

The commemoration also featured a troop parade, a defence equipment parade, various performances, and tactical demonstrations by Indonesian National Police personnel, showcasing the Bhayangkara Corps’ professionalism, competence, and operational readiness in carrying out its duties and responsibilities.

Also in attendance were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Agus Subiyanto, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Puan Maharani, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla,  as well leaders of state institutions, members of the Red and White Cabinet, and ambassadors from friendly countries.
