ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS BOARD DECLARES INTEGRITY ZONE DEVELOPMENT
Jakarta – Public Relations: The Administrative Affairs Board (BUA) of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia officially declared the development of an Integrity Zone (ZI) toward a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM) through the signing of a commitment declaration at the Supreme Court Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (7/5).
The declaration was signed by the Head of the Administrative Affairs Board, Dr. Sobandi, S.H., M.H., and the Secretary of the Supreme Court, Sugiyanto, S.H., M.H., as the person in charge of Integrity Zone development. The event was also attended by the Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Erwan Agus Purwanto, Vice Chairman of the Judicial Commission Desmihardi, and Vice Chairman of the Ombudsman Rahmadi Indra Tektona as witnesses.
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Prof. Dr. Sunarto, S.H., M.H., emphasized in his remarks that the declaration was not merely ceremonial, but rather a fundamental pillar for all judicial personnel.
“Integrity must not exist only symbolically, but must be consistently reflected in the workplace and in daily life,” he stated.
He also reminded all court personnel to avoid practices that could damage the institution’s reputation. He stressed his commitment to taking firm action against anyone who violates integrity principles.
“Even if a judge or judicial officer engages in transactional services or gratification involving only Rp1,000, I will impose strict sanctions,” he asserted.
On the same occasion, the Secretary of the Supreme Court stated that the development of Integrity Zones has evolved from merely fulfilling administrative requirements into building impact-oriented governance.
According to the former Head of the Supervisory Board, the success of the program should be measured by its tangible benefits to the public.
“The success of this program is not measured solely by the fulfillment of assessment indicators, but by how far bureaucratic reform creates real impact, including improving public trust, service quality, and institutional integrity,” he explained.
He added that BUA holds a strategic role in ensuring transparent judicial administrative processes. This commitment is reflected in BUA’s motto, “MANTAP” (Serving, Trustworthy, Neutral, Transparent, Accountable, and Professional).
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform at the Ministry of PANRB appreciated the Supreme Court’s commitment to strengthening integrity. According to him, the initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to prioritize corruption eradication.
“The President has emphasized that bureaucracy must be responsive, efficient, and free from misconduct,” he said.
Erwan also highlighted the importance of Integrity Zones as a foundation for the National Grand Design of Bureaucratic Reform 2025–2045. He expressed hope that the program would strengthen public trust in government institutions.
“We hope the success of Integrity Zone development will significantly contribute to strengthening public trust in the government,” he stated.
The event was also attended by Vice Chief Justice for Judicial Affairs Suharto, S.H., M.Hum., Vice Chief Justice for Non-Judicial Affairs Dr. Dwiarso Budi Santiarto, S.H., M.Hum., the Chief Justices of the Chambers of the Supreme Court, Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Ibnu Basuki Widodo, the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Echelon I and II officials, Chief Judges of High Courts within the Jakarta region, judicial officers within the Administrative Affairs Board, functional officials, and other BUA personnel.
