Jakarta – Public Relations: The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia held a coordination meeting with a delegation from the Tribunal de Recurso (Court of Appeal) of Timor-Leste at the Supreme of Indonesia in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4).

The meeting marked a concrete follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both judicial institutions in Jakarta on Thursday (February 12).

The coordination session was aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of legal and judicial education and training.

Representing the Supreme Court of Indonesia, Secretary of the Supreme Court Sugiyanto, S.H., M.H., attended the meeting accompanied by the Head of the Agency for Judicial Policy Strategy and Legal and Judicial Education and Training (BSDK), Dr. Syamsul Arief, S.H., M.H., as well as several Judicial Judges of the Supreme Court. The discussion focused on key elements that will form the foundation of the training program for judges, registrars, and other judicial apparatus.

Four main areas were identified as priorities during the meeting: training location and infrastructure, identification and selection of trainers and participants, detailed development of training materials and curriculum, and the determination of logistical arrangements and implementation costs.
